The Profa. Dr. Rousley Maia was invited to participate in the Scientific Committee of the Institute of Communication and Media, to give a lecture at a congress whose theme is “Communication of information, public spaces and social public spaces: interactions and tensions”. The event is being organized by the research group Gresec, which is part of the Université Grenoble Alpes, located in the region of Grenoble, France; and will take place on October 12 and 13, 2017.

Gresec was founded in 1978 and has been part of the Institute of Communication and Media in Echirolles since 1996. The research group hosts the UNESCO Chair in International Communication. Initially defined by reference to two disciplines, sociology and economics, it rapidly expanded its perspectives and collaborations, concentrating its work on communication issues, always located historically partner.
Its constitutive characteristics are as follows:
• Articulation between empirical works (based on researches or analyzes of text corpus, etc.) and theoretical elaboration;
• Collective Work Alliance and Individual Scientific Production;
• Close relationship with doctoral studies and integration of doctoral students in research;
• Active participation in the construction of the discipline of the information and communication sciences;
• Systematic research on partnerships and exchanges, in particular international exchanges;
• Significant interest in valuation, monitoring of innovative actions and experiences.
